An interactive workshop in a relaxed setting
Learn about medical treatments and documenting
Presented by a nurse for a non-medical audience
Sips & Wishes is where it all began. After witnessing families guessing "what would they want?", this curriculum was developed to educate and empower. The family's uncertainty left questions, guilt, or shame, which led to complicated grief. We won’t take away the grief, but we’ll take away the trauma.
So let's talk about it! Over a beverage (...see...that's where the "Sips" comes from.)
At a Sips & Wishes workshop, you gain valuable knowledge and tools to advocate for yourself and have meaningful conversations with your loved ones.
My experience as a nurse will guide you through the process, ensuring that you feel empowered and informed about your options.
Participants report feeling energized, comforted, and empowered following the education.
Our one-of-a-kind program combines:
- Information grounded in science
- Real medical equipment
- Personalized content
- Share and hear stories
- Thought-provoking discussions
- Purposeful learning
What to expect during a Sips & Wishes workshop:
- Explanation of medical treatments, including equipment and side effects
- Explore your fears
- Learn what it means to "do everything" in non-medical jargon
- What to consider when choosing your medical power of attorney
- Discuss different ways to document your wishes
- Registered Nurse specializing in education and end-of-life conversations
- A relaxed setting with Sips & Snacks

Use our exclusive Workbook to take notes during the Sips & Wishes workshop. Then take it home to help guide the conversations.
Difficult conversations can be made easier when you have the knowledge you gained coupled with reflection questions and conversation tips.
Free for those attending a Sips & Wishes workshop. Additional copies may be purchased for $25 each.
It will never be perfect, but you will be more prepared to have conversations with those who matter.

Our custom Preferences Packet describes scenarios, medical treatments, and common comfort measures. The last section is dedicated to naming your medical power of attorney and having it witnessed. This makes the Preferences Packet a legal document.
A nurse will walk you through each scenario and option to ensure a full understanding.
We recommend having your medical power of attorney in attendance while you complete your Preferences Packet. Going through it together ensures they hear your wishes and your rationale. This helps if the day comes when they need to be your voice.
Available following a Sips & Wishes workshop (see Package options for details). Additional copies may be purchased for $25 each.
Trust the document and your answers. You completed the document in the full light of day. It represents your values.

4 Reasons Why
Normalize Death
Is it hard to talk with your parents or kids about death? Has a friend told you about the guilt and second-guessing they do because they had to decide if they should put a feeding tube in their mom? Our culture hides death, and many healthcare professionals see death as failure. Luckily for you, you have found a nurse who want to help with these difficult conversations...to explain what it means to “do everything” to “save” a life.

Comprehensive & Humanized Health Care Information
Real medical equipment is shared to demystify the tools. Medical treatments and their purpose are discussed. Real stories are shared to help the information sink in. Sharing personal experiences isn't just for the presenters, but the participants, too. Let's hear your stories. And ask any "taboo" question. Learning about the sequence and side effects of these medical treatments and interventions helps you make educated decisions about what you want for your body.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Sips & Wishes, but I’m sure glad I was invited! In a candidly compassionate environment, they helped everyone learn our responsibilities and rights. I was guided through my choices and given a chance to support my fellow partygoers. Afterwards, I had a great conversation with my partner about what each of us hope for and need to know.

Sips & Wishes is bringing to the forefront a subject that 90% of people don’t really wanna talk about and in most cases should (and will have to eventually!). Lots of great info and things to think about and to start to plan. Their presentation was spot on and answered any questions. The ladies were very well equipped to do this presentation (background and experience in this field). God bless ‘em in their endeavors and their objective of educating the masses on this touchy subject.
